Admission

Candidates are selected by the Central Selection Committee from the merit list prepared by the West Bengal Board of Examination for admission to Engineering, Medical and Technological Degree Colleges on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the Board. The admissions of students for the academic session 2011-2012 will be through the Joint Entrance Examinations (conducted in May, 2011). Candidates selected through the Central Selection Committee will report to the College office at Kolaghat on the date and time prescribed at the time of Counselling along with the following:

·        Proof of age (02 copies of attested Madhyamik Admit Card).

·        Six (06) copies of passport size & 02 copies of stamp size color photographs.

·        Original & one set of Xerox copy of WBJEE/AIEEE Admit Card & Rank Card.

·        Original allotment letter of Central Selection Committee (E&T).

·        Madhyamik (10^th) & H.S (10+2) Marksheet (Original & two sets of attested copy)

·        Caste Certificate (if any, original & one attested copy).

·        Medical Fitness Certificate from Registered Medical Practitioner.

·        Eye Test Certificate from Eye Specialist.

·        Report of Blood Group.

Fees Common to all Students*

·        Tuition Fee                                                 :   17500/- per quarter.

·        Students Activity Fee                                  :     1500/- per annum.

Additional Charges for Hostel

·        Hostel Room Rent                                     :    1050/- per quarter for multi seater room.

·        Hostel Meal Charge                                  :    4500/- per quarter.

·        Hostel Establishment Charges                    :    2000/- (one time).

·        Caution Money for Hostel                         :    2000/- (refundable).

University Fees for all Students

All payments are to be made preferably through bank draft in favour of “College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat” payable at Mecheda drawn on SBI/ PNB/ UBI/ UCO Bank.

·        Fees are subject to modification from time to time as will be decided by the competent authority

·        All the charges other than caution money are non-refundable and cannot be claimed if a student withdraws, from the college.

Schedule of Fees Payment

·        1^st instalment: In July – on the opening day of college.

·        2^nd instalment: During first ten working days of October.

·        3^rd instalment: On the day of opening of the College in January after the semester break.

·        4^th instalment: During first ten working days of April.

The students are to strictly follow the schedule of payment of fees.

Loan Facilities, Insurance Coverage & Assistance

·        The college assists in obtaining education loan from nationalized banks.

·        The college students are covered by “Chatra Bandhu” Group Insurance Policy (Accidental Death /Disability to Parents/Guardian) being implemented by the WBUT in association with United India Insurance Company Limited.

·        Assistance for scholarship of SC/CT students from Welfare Department of the Govt. of West Bengal.

·        Assistance through Educational Loan Scheme of West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation for students of minority communities.
